What is TV advertising?

Television advertising is normally a 2-5 minutes long video. The video could be of many subjects made by big companies, for example every advert has a structure and a target audience they are trying to reach plus the content can be very simple like a 30 seconds video with the logo and slogan saying come to us for Christmas or can be complex like Sainsbury’s and have a 5min video looking like a blockbuster movie the reason companies use television to advertise there products.

View three different contemporary TV adverts and list three key characteristics of them

1 emotional effect: Emotional effect is used to gain a emotional feeling doesn’t matter if it happy feeling or a very sad depressing feeling. They many ways the adverts could affect the target audience if it the location of the advert or the song used throughout the advert

2 products placements: Product is a huge aspect of the advert that is main objective of the advert. Product placement can be very sly for example the product could be in the advert for 2 seconds or a reoccurring product

3 Target Audiences: The target audience is whom the advert try to aim at. Normally at Christmas the target audience is normally aimed at mature women of the age 30 and above due to the fact over 80% of groceries shopping is done by women so the advertises would be very to try aim for the 20% or take it safe and try aim for 80%.
