Evolution For Advert

In this project I was asked to make an advert for a brand of our choice. At the start I was put in a group with AJ Catalin and Alex. We each had a mind map with a list of brands my personal choice for the advert was Nike trainers. I am very passionate about Nike trainers and have collected them since the age of 15. Second reason I wanted to do Nike trainers due it being nice and easy to shoot and I had an idea. Everyone in the group had different ideas but we all decided to do Sony headphones due it being common interest of the group. The goal for the project was make an original advert whilst hitting all the criteria to get a great grade. I believe that we could an advert that we could be proud of whilst enjoying making the advert.

The outline of the advert was fellow a businessman who is making his way to a meeting. The protagonist was seen to be very stressed and needed something to help with the stress. So using music it takes to another place where he was relaxed.

The production of the advert was very simple and the location was all near by. The first scene was shot at Edgware road station we decided to shot at 11 o’clock. The timing was very important due to if the station was packed it would be imposable to have the best footage. So we decided should be a long shot of Alex rushing to get a train to set the feeling of the advert. There were many different shots during production for example the close up of the headphones whilst Alex was on the train another shot was a wide shot of Alex when he was in Hyde Park.

The strengths of this project were definitely the consistency we had to film. We were able to shoot the advert in two weeks and edited in the third. The teacher gave clear instructions for the criteria to get a distinction. I enjoyed the music we chose for the advert. One weakness was I believed that it could have been edited to a minute.
